Esus E-Learning in 2025 – A Year in Review

In 2025, we continued to leverage our 21 years of experience to create impactful bespoke e-learning content for a wide range of valued clients – both old and new. This year, we embraced advancements in the virtual learning landscape by integrating innovative gamified elements and putting increased emphasis on interactive mixed media content. Our focus on transforming static content into engaging and interactive e-learning material continues to be at the heart of what we do, and we are always utilising new technological advancements to achieve this. The results of this approach can be seen in our carefully customised 2D and 3D animation and video instruction elements which resulted in increased learner engagement and improved knowledge retention in both public and private sector training environments.

In a year in which the global e-learning market experienced significant growth, we at Esus broadened our reach by creating carefully customised induction, upskilling and awareness courses across a wide range of sectors. We are delighted to continue to receive positive customer feedback for our cutting-edge approach to custom-designed digital training delivery.

As we transition into a new year, we want to reflect on some of the solutions we provided and some projects we worked on in 2025.

Fostering High Engagement through Interactive Formats

At Esus, all our e-learning content is designed with innovative, best-practice remote training principles in mind. In 2025, we continued to prioritise programme design, fostering active learner participation and minimising passive information consumption. Our interactive course formats include embedded quizzes, clickable hotspots, drag-and-drop activities, click-and-reveal content and interactive infographics. By providing trainees with player controls, we ensure they are fully engaged and enable them to take responsibility for their own learning.

Boosting Productivity by Increasing Relevance

At Esus, we know that the more targeted programme content is, the more relevant it will be to the trainee, engaging their motivation to learn and retain information. Our courses use customised scenario-based learning and simulations based on real-world situations directly applicable to the learner and boosting knowledge retention. Immersing learners in realistic scenarios in which they must make choices and live out the consequences in a risk-free environment engages critical thinking and drives home the real-world applicability of their learning. Our courses use ‘live’ instructional video footage to demonstrate best practice to users, raising the stakes for the learner and enhancing information recall.

Gamification

Allowing learners to earn points and accumulate badges by way of quizzes and assessments with immediate corrective feedback enhances their engagement with the programme material. Our course designers also allow learners to unlock levels and participate in time-limited challenges, requiring them to ‘switch on’ and give the material their full and undivided attention. Game design in digital learning continues to be a popular method for delivering learning content as it is proven to increase learner motivation and boosts active participation.

Flexible and Scalable Content for Wide-Ranging Applicability

Our e-learning solutions can take multiple forms, and our end-to-end client-centred service allows content to be adapted, expanded and delivered across a variety of platforms and contexts. In 2025, we received a growing number of requests to adapt and scale our bespoke content. Many clients expressed an interest in extracting programme modules to be used for microlearning in other areas of their business or organisation. Our experienced team creates flexible and scalable content and works with our clients to tailor programme material to suit any audience or learning environment.

Animations and Promotional Trailers

Storytelling is at the heart of our instructional and awareness content. Our animations use character-driven illustrations to help learners establish clear links between decision-making and potential outcomes. Using similar principles, we create promotional trailers for clients necessitating campaigns to raise awareness of new initiatives. Telling stories through concise language and engaging visuals ensures our clients’ messages get across in the most memorable way possible.

A Vast Landscape of Learning

This year, we designed bespoke digital learning programmes covering a wide range of topics. While the full list of our 2025 projects would be too extensive to list here, the following projects comprise a representative sample of our year’s work:

Health and Safety Induction Projects

We designed a ‘Global Health and Safety Induction Animation’ for PepsiCo, which included the production of a dynamic animated programme in English, Chinese, Hindi and L.A. Spanish for use at all PepsiCo sites.

We created a ‘Health & Safety Management E-Learning Programme’ for an Industry Body client, which involved the development of a suite of 15 e-learning modules based on a two-day classroom-based course, including bespoke visuals, interactive assessments and custom completion certificates.

Disability and Diversity Awareness Programmes

We created the ‘Respect & Dignity, Diversity & Inclusion and Unconscious Bias E-Learning Programme’ for Workplace Training. We developed a suite of learning materials and resources, including videos and courses for Workplace Training’s e-learning platform.

We created the ‘Disability Awareness E-Learning Course’ for the Government of Ireland, which is being used as part of a national government initiative and has extensive accessibility features incorporated into the course design.

DSGBV Projects

We designed a ‘Domestic Sexual and Gender-Based Violence E-Learning Programme’ for the HSE and HSE Social Inclusion. The programme comprised four e-learning modules to provide HSE staff with the skills to recognise, respond and refer victims of DSGBV in vulnerable or at-risk communities.

We worked with White Ribbon Ireland, GAA, CUAN and Ruhama on developing a ‘Tackling Gender-Based Violence Through Gaelic Games E-Learning Programme’. This involved the development of four e-learning modules tackling DSGBV with age-specific content, targeting different groups (14–15, 16–17, 18+ players and 18+ officers).

Member Induction Courses

We worked with Charities Institute Ireland to develop a suite of 12-member e-learning courses as part of the client’s online academy, which offers a comprehensive education programme.

We developed the ‘Onboarding Induction: E-learning Programme’ for eu-LISA, which involved the development of a suite of online onboarding learning materials, including six e-learning courses (including data protection), 52 instructional video and 18 explainer animations.

Valued Clients

In 2025, we were delighted to partner with a wide range of organisations across various industries, including food and drink, construction, retail, healthcare, sport, and government agencies. At the core of our highly personalised programme design process are strong, collaborative relationships with our clients and we are grateful for the opportunity to have worked with the following clients this year:

  • Pepsi
  • HSE
  • The Department of Children
  • Kildare County Council
  • GAA

Coming in 2026…

As the e-learning landscape undergoes rapid and exciting changes due to recent innovations in AI-enhanced learning, we at Esus remain ready to integrate the newest learning methodologies, devices and solutions into our courses. This year, we will be integrating the following innovative elements of e-learning into our programmes:

AI-Enhanced Immersive Learning (VR/AR)

Esus will be delving further into the opportunities offered by using Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality in e-learning contexts. We will prioritise using VR and AR to place learners ‘inside’ real-world training scenarios and facilitate ‘learning by doing’ in realistic, risk-free settings. By integrating AI-enhanced VR and AR learning into our programmes, we will enable our clients to track trainee interactions and offer personalised learning paths based on individual comprehension and retention.

3D Models

We will also be building on our current use of 3D models, transforming abstract concepts into interactive experiences and allowing for accurate simulation and ‘hands-on’ practice in risk-free settings. We will create immersive environments by integrating 3D models into gamified programmes with the aim of enhancing learner engagement and knowledge retention.
