Increased Demand for Cybersecurity E-Learning Content

Esus was recently profiled in Business Plus Magazine’s “Cork Top 50 Companies” supplement. Our Managing Director, Gary O’Flynn highlighted the increased demand from clients for customised cybersecurity e-learning content. Companies face economic repercussions, privacy concerns and potential legal ramifications and they are taking action, by providing e-learning training to educate their employees, with the aim of preventing cybersecurity breaches.

Gary stated that “In the last 12 months, we have worked with one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies on a number of innovative cybersecurity e-learning projects both here and in the US.”

These projects included:

  • Developing a suite of animations, providing staff with a high-level understanding of the different types of cybersecurity threats, such as ransomware, strong passwords and social engineering and providing best-practice context relevant scenarios.
  • Development of a gamified e-learning course where learners were given the opportunity to work through real-life examples on protecting confidential information, seeing the consequences of their actions and receiving detailed feedback.
  • Building a Virtual Reality “Phishing” Experience for a number of senior personnel within the organisation, teaching them how to identify these threats and provide them with feedback on the actions taken, all whilst wearing a VR headset.
